Me and my main man Jake worked hard three weeks in a row to prepare the season's last Stil (the best house-club in the city of Lund). I guess we were to worried that the whole show wouldn't be as perfect as we wanted it to be. We were wrong.
Dj Mark Masters (Ministry of Sound), 560 guests and sweat dripping from the walls spoke louder than words.
Peace out and happy new year!
This Sunday I found myself in Denmark, on a casual date with a stunning young woman who looked very much like Angelina Jolie. We went for a walkabout in Christiania, and all the credits go to my Angelina lookalike since the idea was entirely hers.
I haven't been to Chris for three years, since my drunk'n'shouting rock'n'roll Eurotrip by train which started in Copenhagen and came to an end when we run out of money in London few weeks later. I'm loosing the thread to nostalgia again , am I not?
Still, Copenhagens most charming and controversial neighborhood is very much the same. Sure, politic-driven police teams can force weed of the streets, remove some blocks from the pavement only to drop them as heavy rocks of anger into the peoples hearts, but the soul of the neighborhood remains unchanged. Nor by time, nor by outside interference. Christianites are not very receptive. Times stands still here. It's a Sunday evening but the main area of the second floor taverna just above the pusher street is full of people. A sweaty Cuban band is halfway through their 21st rumba. Everybody is having a couple of beers, either chatting about the weather or playing another game of backgammon with their neighbors. The atmosphere itself is laidback, down to earth and smells a lot of magic reefer. Christianites are sophisticated people. The world famous bike shop is open late and the cafées serve very tasty, ecological hot chocolate.

porque el mundo es una bola
que se vive a flor de piel.
After 8 years of coma, occasionally broken by small, invitation only underground concerts, the man, the myth, the concept Manu Chao is back on the world tour. Singing in French, Spanish, Arabic, Galician, Catalan, English, Portuguese and Italian the 45 years young superstar is more bouncy and full of energy and political awareness when ever before.
We checked him out live at Baltiska Hallen in Malmö. The concert that could not be better as both the Radio Bemba band and the audience gave 101% for almost two hours. Concerts like this fill me up with energy and immunize me against Swedish winter for a few more months. Maybe I should abandon the carrier of investment banker and become a wondering vagabond Dj traveling the south America? Probably not, but since the concert, I have more hope for the human race. Once again it has been proven that you can find the right type of people anywhere from beach huts in Australia to JPMorgan headquaters in London.
La vida es una tómbola...
de noche y de día...
la vida es una tómbola
y arriba y arriba....
New apartments, ideas and possibilities show up every now and then. The big question that have been pestering mankind since the invention of the wheel, rises up again: to go for the deal that is available now or to let it pass and hope for a better opportunity to arise? The person who said that once your life will be completed was a complete liar. Nothing is ever complete, new challenges arise as mushrooms after a summer nights rain, the only thing that evolves is your ability to deal with new challenges.
Luckily, this time I’m not in a hurry.
Yesterday I felt like learning something new and made some research on wikipedia concerning the fighting machine Cassius Clay (a.k.a.Muhammed Ali). First of all this guy was faster then lightning inside the ring. He would bounce up to an opponent, deliver a serious of ten per second punches and bounce away without even bothering to hold his guard up.
